Moose in our yard
Returned home from a trip to be greeted by this young moose.
Just back from the annual MLK ice climbing trip to Cody and the south Fork (of the Shoshone). We got in a couple of good days of climbing. I was reminded, as I am every year, just how much work some of the approaches are!
We made a quick trip out to the Escalante area of Utah, visiting Devil’s Garden and the Dry Fork Canyons along Hole in the Rock Road, then the popular Lower Calf Creek Falls.
We spent a few days in Utah’s Uinta Mountains for a bit of rock climbing, but unfortunately multiple wildfires made the air quality less than ideal. While the smoke affected our climbing, it also produced some really interesting lighting, especially on the waters of Bear Creek. Here are a few Images:
Early season snow on the well-known peak in Colorado’s Mosquito Range provided some stunning reflections this morning.
This week we were visited by a female moose and her baby. Quite a treat to see them spend time in our yard.
