Uinta Snow in August

In August Randy and I returned to the Uintas for a week of rock climbing. Unfortunately the weather gods had different ideas. After dodging rain showers for a few days the temperature dropped dramatically and we woke up to a fresh covering of snow – not so good for climbing but great for photography. We spent a morning enjoying the picturte postcard scenes before beating a hasty retreat to warmer climes and warmer climbs (back to Maple Canyon).
